Flutist Tereasa Payne grew up in Aurora Nebraska and began playing the flute at age four. She became interested in the flute after going to an instrument petting zoo at her school. She moved to New York City to play in the orchestra of “The Lion King” on Broadway.
As a performer Tereasa enjoys playing such composers as Mahler, Debussy, and Brahms. She also performs playing world music, jazz, and pop music. “It’s all music!”
Tereasa brings her love and joy of music into her teaching. “I reach out to each student to find what their goals and ambitions are. We work hard together to accomplish those goals while learning the joys of music.”
Tereasa has several hobbies including cooking, hiking, and playing with her dog, a welsh corgi named Randal.
