Summer is coming!
Here at Bloomingdale we’re gearing up to launch our Summer Semester which will take place in person and online July 10 through August 19.
But first, we wanted to share some very exciting and important news!
Bloomingdale will renovate our beloved Brownstone’s 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors this July and August thanks to the generous support of New York State Assembly Member Daniel O’Donnell, the Baisley Powell Elebash Fund, and the Bay and Paul Foundation.
This state-of-the-art work will include:
- new flooring, ceilings, and carpeting to match the modern look of our renovated first and second floors
- advanced sound treatment to improve sound isolation between studios
- HVAC installation to ensure accurate temperature control in each room
These critical changes will improve the function of our building while maintaining its old world charm, creating the best possible environment and musical experiences for our students.
In order to facilitate these exciting renovations, we will temporarily close our Brownstone during the summer months. However, our summer programming WILL go on!
Summer workshops, classes, and private lessons on the Upper West Side.
While our brownstone is being renovated, our summer programming will take place at two Upper West Side locations: The School at Columbia (TSC) at 556 West 110th Street and The Three Arts Club at 340 West 85th Street. Join us this summer for week-long intensives for piano, strings, and guitar, summer voyagers mini-camp, adult guitar weekend, plus early childhood classes and private lessons.

Financial aid is available for the summer semester. Please apply by June 15 here.
