New BSM Faculty 2015-2016

New Faculty 2015-16

Bloomingdale School of Music is thrilled to welcome the following individuals to our faculty this Fall.

VOICE

Christopher Lilley (tenor), BM and MM from Manhattan School of Music. He is currently the Youth Music Director at New Testament Temple Church of God.

Jocelyn Medina (jazz), BM from Berklee College of Music and MM from Manhattan School of Music. She was on faculty and Head of the Vocal Department at The True School of Music in Mumbai, India. She has certification in Somatic Voicework™.

HARP

Andrea Puente, BA from National Conservatory of Music, Mexico, MM from California State University, and currently pursuing Masters in Fundraising and Grantmaking from NYU. She has an extensive experience teaching at community music schools and was a LA Opera’s Resident Teaching Artist for the education program, Voices of Tolerance.

OBOE

Ellen Hindson, BM from University of Minnesota, and MM from Mannes College. She is a founding member of Trade Winds Quintet, a New York based woodwind quintet dedicated to musical outreach, and currently an orchestra coach at the Diller-Quaile School.

PIANO

Andrea Lodge, BM from Memorial University of Newfoundland, MM from U. of British Columbia, DMA from Stony Brook University. She is currently on faculty at SUNY Suffolk and Nief-Norf Contemporary Music Organization and Summer Festival.

Lynn Rice-See, BM from Peabody Conservatory, MM from The Juilliard, DMA from University of Southern California. She was a piano professor at East Tennessee State University and Middle Tennessee State University, and currently an adjunct professor at Montclair State University.

STRINGS

Rhiannon Banerdt (violin), BM and MM from New England Conservatory, and currently pursuing her DMA at CUNY. She has extensive experience with both presenting and administrating outreach workshops and has taught at many community music schools.

Lauren Cauley (violin), BM and MM from Eastman School of Music. She has been a violin instructor for Rochester Academy of Music and Chautauqua Music Festival, and she is currently a Teaching Artist for Midori & Friends.

Kyunghun Kim (Director of Orchestras, Conductor Bloomingdale Chamber Orchestra), B.M. in Viola Performance from Boston Conservatory, Diploma in Conducting from Curtis Institute of Music, M.M. in Conducting from The Juilliard School. He is currently the Orchestra Director at Lehman College, Music Director of Doctors Orchestral Society of New York, and Principal Associate Conductor of Ensemble 212.

EARLY CHILDHOOD

Aaron Butler (Dalcroze), MM in Piano Performance from Longy School of Music, has received his Dlacroze Cerfiticate and License from Longy. He is currently teaching Dalcroze at Long Island Academy of Music and Lucy Moses School.

Sabine Heubusch (Dalcroze), B.A. in Dalcroze Eurhythmics from University for Music and Performing Arts, Vienna Austria. Her teaching certificates include Alexander Technique, Pilates, Hatha Yoga, and Be Yoga. She is currently teaching at Church Street School and Kinderspiel Manhattan as Eurhythmics teacher.
