Born in Berkeley California, Lauren began her musical life at age seven singing in a choir. Her childhood choral conductor, Bob Geary, was a major musical influence. At The Manhattan School of Music her teachers and mentors included Carolyn Marlow and Joan Patenaude-Yarnell.

As a performer Lauren enjoys group performance including choral music, duets and stage productions. She enjoys singing songs from the 20's, 30's, and 40's. Her favorite composers are from the golden age of musical theater including Cole Porter, George Gershwin, and Frank Loesser. Lauren has performed at such venues as Radio City Music Hall, The United Nations, and the Great American Music Hall.

As a teacher she emphasizes technique and personal growth. "I specialize in teaching healthy vocal technique to adolescents and adults. I believe a solid foundation in music leads to tremendous artistic and personal growth and I take pride in helping students reach their potential."

Lauren's hobbies include catching a Broadway show, New York City restaurants, exploring new neighborhoods, and chasing her one year old daughter around the house.
