This concert will explore the fascinating relationship between music and narration. Cellist Molly Aronson will perform a multidisciplinary program that combines works for solo cello with texts by such writers as Shakespeare and J.R.R. Tolkein as well as nature imagery by Marcia Scott. Pianist Olga Gurevich will perform Schubert”s virtuosic masterpiece The Wanderer Fantasy, a deeply evocative work based on one of his own songs in which a wanderer expresses the conviction of being a stranger everywhere.
