If you are interested in making a contribution, please visit our Donate Now page. You can be a part of the grand history of Steinway & Sons, along with Bloomingdale School of Music, as our extraordinary faculty and students take the stage at the new Steinway Showroom in Midtown Manhattan. Join us as we present one of the first concerts to be held in the new Hall, a space “imbued with beauty, innovation and history, worthy of both the legacy it protects and the future it is poised to launch.”
This concert will feature some of the best of what our piano department has to offer. Our talented and accomplished faculty artists, along with a select group of students, will offer up an homage to legendary pianists such as Arthur Rubinstein, Van Cliburn, Vladimir Horowitz, and Sergei Rachmaninoff who once visited and even practiced at Steinway Hall.
Help us make sure BSM pianos “stay tuned”!
With upwards of 230 piano students and a full concert season, our pianos certainly see their share of wear and tear. We have 17 studio pianos which require 3 tunings per year and our Steinway B in David Greer Recital Hall requires 17 tunings per year and a new cover. Additionally, new adjustable piano benches are needed to ensure that students of all ages and sizes can reach the keys!
*All proceeds from this concert will go towards the annual piano maintenance fund.
