Bloomingdale Audition Prep Ticket

A Bloomingdale Audition Prep Ticket allows you to purchase a package of five 60-minute lessons arranged around your schedule. Once registered, simply schedule your lessons directly with your instructor and complete your lessons before the end of the semester.

Prep Tickets are for students preparing for NYSSMA or school and competitive auditions, the work in these lessons will be limited and focused on the piece that is being prepared for a single event. For ages: 12-18, students who are studying instruments in school but could use an extra boost in study for audition prep.

Prep Tickets provide flexibility for new to Bloomingdale students to get to know our faculty while focusing on a single goal together. The personalized experience will surely leave an impression on the students as they work towards an exciting day or a recording.

The goal is for students to leave the Prep Ticket package with refined audition material and the confidence to do well in their auditions and interviews.

While this package is essential for the high school junior and senior, many sophomores find it useful to begin preparing and receiving audition feedback early.

What you need to know

After registering online, the program coordinator will be in touch to schedule an audition and all students will be placed in a music theory class based on their age, level of performance and completion of a music theory placement form if applicable.

STUDENT ELIGIBILITY

1-2 years of private study on primary instrument
Current BSM students: Recommendation of private teacher that student is ready for a comprehensive music program and the work that it will take to prepare for biannual juries and extra performances.
New students to BSM: Conversation and playing assessment with BTP Instrument Coordinator

Applications will be accepted throughout the school year.

Audition date

Auditions are scheduled individually with Program Coordinator.

45 minute lesson option: $2500

60 minute lesson option: $2750
