Yanitza Lee graduated from Hunter College in 2020 with a Bachelors in Music for Music Performance with a focus on Classical Voice and Opera Studies. She then graduated from New York University in 2022 with a Master of Arts in Music Therapy. She is a board certified music therapist and currently holds a limited permit as a NYS licensed Creative Arts Therapist. As a music therapist, she has had experience providing music therapy to both children and adults. Her practice in music therapy is informed by previous experience in adult and pediatric acute medical settings within palliative care, hospice, general medicine, and the NICU at Montefiore Children’s Hospital and Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Outside of Bloomingdale, she also works as the lead music therapist at a creative arts therapy clinic called Heartsong, Inc. for their Saturday program for both children and adults.
