PRIVATE LESSONS FOR ALL AGES

Let the music in you bloom this spring! The one on one connection between a student and their private instructor is a unique, shared experience. Bloomingdale offers in person and online lessons in nearly 20 instruments. Give it a try for only $30! 

GROUP CLASSES FOR CHILDREN

Children can bloom with peers this spring as they share the experience of learning music. Group classes are available in several instruments as well as singing and are a great introduction to music education. Classes are organized by age group. 

CLASSES FOR BABIES & TODDLERS

Watch your child bloom this spring in a class where they will sing, play, and socialize with other toddlers, or bloom with your baby in one of our “My Grown Up and Me” classes.

GROUP CLASSES FOR TEENS

Musicians can bloom at ANY age. We have group music classes where teens of all skill levels can hone their skills among peers their own age, perfect their technique and set themselves on a progressive path to success. 

GROUP CLASSES FOR ADULTS

Let a new music bloom in you this spring or dust off that old instrument and renew an old passion. Classes and lessons are available for adults in multiple instruments, or you can share the appreciation of music with other adults in one of our lecture series. 

BLOOMINGDALE ENSEMBLES

From orchestras to singing groups, jazz ensembles and flute choirs, there are many ways to bloom with us this spring at Bloomingdale. Experience the joy of making music together in a Bloomingdale ensemble.

WE OFFER NEED-BASED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Our goal is to make music education accessible and to remove the financial barrier that may prevent students from participating. Therefore, we offer need-based financial aid to as many students as possible.

Deadline to apply for financial aid is January 15th, 2024. 

General financial aid is available for all classes and programs.

PRIVATE LESSONS FOR ALL AGES

Our 30, 45 and 60-minute music lessons give prospective students the opportunity to experience our community and the hands-on learning students enjoy. Lessons are taught by passionate and experienced faculty who customize lessons for each student. 30-minute Trial classes are $30.

Early Childhood Classes

Join our Early Childhood faculty for fun, interactive, and music-filled classes to engage the youngest learners throughout the Summer months. Offerings are available in person in our newly renovated recital hall, on a variety of days and times to suit every family’s scheduling needs and every child’s delight. Children from 3 months to 5 years old will learn musical concepts through hands-on percussive experiences, as well as song and dance.

Our beginner classes for children and teens provide an excellent introduction to our most popular instruments. The supportive group class settings allow students to work together, learn together, and help one another as they come across musical challenges together.

Ensembles for all ages

Students ages 8 and up can participate in performance-based classes with a wide variety of offerings for all instruments and ages, both in-person and online. Each of our ensembles provides students with invaluable group rehearsal and performance experience and creates an immersive environment that allows students of various ages and ability levels to connect, collaborate, and learn together!

Virtual Lecture Classes

Bloomingdale Resident Teaching Artist, Marc Peloquin, leads a series of 4-week music courses for adults designed to give students a basic understanding of music and inspire an appreciation for music through a variety of musical styles. Each class in this lecture series will feature live demonstrations of musical concepts, discussion, and recorded listening examples. These courses will give you tools and context to better appreciate the magical world of music.
